– will next meet in Spring 2019
Mondays from 10.00am to 12noon
Monday Makers developed from the success Joan and I had with our craft stall at the Christmas Fayre in 2014. We had made many items for the stall and a lot of interest was shown in what we had to sell – so much, in fact, that orders were taken for some of the items that had sold out.
Following this we felt that this was an opportunity to continue to raise money for Church funds and we decided to meet regularly specifically for this purpose. We plan, prepare and make on a Monday morning – although I must admit that we get interruptions from the keep fit ladies and other meeting in the church who stop to show an interest in what we are doing. This is good as we see this as a form of mission and we are sometimes offered knitting wool or fabric to use, as well as receiving comments and ideas.
We try to introduce new items and we open the stall at special functions and some of the Friendship lunches. The group is still only Joan and me and we are now starting to think about stocking up for the next Christmas Fayre!
